About Dave Howells

For my bio, I considered writing about 20 years of racing experience, but my passion for cycling goes well beyond the start line. I remember the first time I ever rode a bike: I wandered over to the neighbor's house, grabbed this mid-size department store special, and off I went. Since that day I have never stopped loving bikes. I currently own 7 or 8 of them, and if they could talk each one would have a great story to tell!
I am proud of the fact that I have not only ridden and raced both road and mountain bikes competitively, but have also bike-toured New Zealand, Nepal, the Canadian Rockies and parts of Australia. These days, nothing makes me happier than rolling around Vancouver's sea wall on my 1958 Shelby Airflow.

I have always taken an interest in bike fit; when driving around the city, I notice other cyclists with seats too high or low, and now I can help them out! BC Bike Fit provides a valuable service to cyclist of all abilities. I hope I have the chance to meet you and share riding stories.
